BRIEF-Golf-Ishikawa retains Japan's top athlete award (Reuters)

TOKYO, Dec 25 (Reuters) - Record-breaking teenager Ryo Ishikawa won the Nihon Professional Sports Award for the second year streaming on Friday.

The 18-year-old, who became Japan’s youngest meet of merit winner in 2009, acknowledged the honor from Asian Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama in a Christmas meet to the PM’s office.

The multi-millionaire schoolboy, who is already digit of Japan’s biggest celebrities, was the award’s youngest recipient last year.

Ishikawa, who won four JGTO Tour titles this assemblage and made his field debut, presented Hatoyama with a occupy and gave the PM whatever tips after decent the ordinal back-to-back winner of the prestigious Asian sports award.
